In 2011 Novacorr Healthcare were contacted by two senior Occupation Therapists from LifeTec (QLD Independent Living Centre). They had one simple question, would Novacorr consider making a chair for a client with advanced Huntingtons Disease? So thanks to the wonderful OT’s at LifeTec a seed had been planted
Meeting our client for the first time was humbling to say the least so to design a chair to make life more comfortable and importantly safer for people who suffer from HD was always going to be a challenge. Fortunately the Novacorr team love a challenge!
The Novacorr Huntington’s Chair is unlike other chairs specifically designed for persons with Huntington’s Disease, looks feels and acts like a normal electric lift recliner chair.
Originally designed for larger bariatric clients (which is where the chair gets its strength) Novacorr have been able to manufacture a chair that not only provides a safe environment but is also custom made to measure giving the maximum comfort levels.
